Sarah Andelman

From the Magazine

After two decades of putting together an assemblage of fashion, art and more for their super-boutique, colette in Paris, it’s sad to hear that our friend Sarah Andelman and her mother will be closing up shop. We’re grateful to have participated in and been a part of their special space. Read our interview with Sarah from 2014, where she discusses all the pieces of puzzle that make colette.

Frank Prisinzano

Jon Naar

Jon Naar started taking “weekend photographs” in the 1950s. Now, at the age of 97, his legendary eye has graced subjects ranging from Knoll furniture to New York graffiti to Andy Warhol.

Jim Joe

Mitsuyuki has chronicled the Japanese surf scene for thirty years. His photography captures the spirit, soul and personalities that help shape a truly unique surf culture.

Someone once said that wherever Walter Iooss goes is the perfect picture. In a career spanning four decades. Walter has captured giant swells, supermodels and some of the world’s greatest athletes. By building a rapport with his subjects, he draws out their essence.

With his Rain Paintings, Lucien Smith became an art world sensation at the age of 23. Having followed that success with even more work on canvas, Smith is now in the process of exploring mediums such as film and photography. Here he shares a never-before-seen archive of Polaroids taken during his walks in Montauk.

Daniel Arnold’s street photography has a nose for the candid, the serendipitous, and the ugly. Taken during his long walks through the streets of New York City, his snapshots have become famous through his now-legendary account.

Peter Sutherland’s flash-happy photographs capture fleeting moments of abandon. This collection of images exhibits his witty, unusual and off-the-cuff style.

Harri Peccinotti

Visionary photographer and designer, Harri Peccinotti, takes little credit for his successes, attributing them to a simple love of the camera and this beauty of the female form.
